Bloom Global PET at The International Society for Autism Research (INSAR) 2026

For the third year running, Naked Heart Foundation’s experts have been taking part in the world's largest autism research conference, The International Society for Autism Research (INSAR). Held each spring, it convenes thousands of scientists, clinicians, and autistic individuals from dozens of countries to share the latest breakthroughs in autism science.
The 2026 annual meeting was held from 22 to 25 April 2026 in Prague, Czech Republic, where The Bloom Autism Support Programme abstracts were presented in both a panel discussion and a poster presentation.
This year’s participation was particularly successful for the Project Team, as there were two opportunities to showcase the progress of the programme development.
Firstly, Dr Gala Morozova of the University of Edinburgh represented the Bloom research team on the panel entitled "Expanding Partnerships: Community-Engaged Autism Research with Historically Underrepresented and Marginalized Groups.". Dr Morozova’s presentation "Community-Engaged Co-Creation across Cultural and Linguistic Borders" covered lessons learnt in the Bloom Autism Support Programme in two international research sites. It was the first time the Project Team were invited to speak at the panel discussion at INSAR.
Secondly, our team also delivered the poster presentation “The Bloom Autism Support Programme for Families: Findings from a South African Pilot Study”.
Development of Bloom Autism Support Programme For Families is a partner project between Naked Heart Foundation, The University of Edinburgh and The University of Cape Town. The initiative was launched in 2022 to address the global gap in accessible support services for families with young children diagnosed with autism.
